Systemic Antibiotic and Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug Treatment Decreases the Level of Endogenous Angiogenic Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor in Inflamed Human Periapical Tissues

چکیده
Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced angiogenesis contributes to inflammatory bone resorption in humans. Widely documented antagonists include antibiotics and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The purpose of this study was investigate the effect these on proangiogenic VEGF levels periradicular lesions. Periapical tissue biopsies were obtained from 42 patients with chronic periapical periodontitis. measured using a commercial ELISA kit divided into groups according treatment: no (control group, n = 25), NSAIDs (n 7), 5), 5). Reverse transcriptase (RT) reaction performed all samples under analysis. Presence VEGFA VEGFB gene expression assessed reverse-transcription-polymerase chain (RT-PCR). analysis indicated that average treated (6.097 ± 1.930 ng/mL), (5.661 2.395 (7.142 2.601 ng/mL) significantly lower than control (10.432 4.257 ng/mL, ANOVA p 0.008). RT-PCR did not reveal any samples. found 26 (69.1%). use or exacerbated periodontitis decreases tissues. Pharmacotherapy may minimize effects apical progression way.

Pnm-9: Serum and Peritoneal Fluid Level of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor in Endometriosis
Background: Endometriosis is known as one of the most common disease in women of reproductive age. Due to importance role of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in neo-vascularization for the implantation of endometrial cell and different reported results for VEGF level in the serum and peritoneal fluid (PF) in endometriosis patients, this study was designed to determine the serum and PF ...
متن کاملIn vitro combination therapy of pathologic angiogenesis using anti-vascular endothelial growth factor and anti-neuropilin-1 nanobodies
Objective(s): Emergence of resistant tumor cells to the current therapeutics is the main hindrance in cancer treatment. Combination therapy, which mixes two or more drugs, is a way to overcome resistant problems of cancer cells to current treatments. Nanobodies are promising tools in cancer therapy due to their high affinity as well as high penetration to tumor sites....
متن کاملEvaluation of Periodontal Disease Effect on the Expression of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor and Nerve Growth Factor in Dental Pulp
Introduction: Researchers have always been interested in the close and mutual relationship between the pulp and periodontal tissues. Although the effects of pulpal disease on periodontium have been well known, the clear relationship between periodontitis and pulp has not been documented . It seems that bacteria and inflammatory products of periodontitis can affect pulp through accessory canals,...
متن کاملAnti-inflammatory effect of hepatocyte growth factor in chronic kidney disease: targeting the inflamed vascular endothelium.
Recent studies show that hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) has potent anti-inflammatory effects in multiple animal models of disease in various organ systems, including the kidney, suggesting that HGF may suppress a common proinflammatory process. The aim of this study was to examine the molecular mechanism of HGF's anti-inflammatory actions in a model of chronic kidney disease. Beginning 2 wk aft...
متن کاملDetection and quantification of mast cell, vascular endothelial growth factor, and microvessel density in human inflammatory periapical cysts and granulomas.
AIM To identify and quantify mast cell (MC), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression and microvessel density (MVD) in human periapical cysts and granulomas. METHODOLOGY Archived samples of cysts (n = 40) and granulomas (n = 28) were sectioned and stained with toluidine blue. MCs were identified and counted. Immunohistochemical reactions were employed to evaluate the tissue expres...
